It is my understanding that teachers are mandated to report child abuse. They must also comply with and or understand the following:
- anti-discrimination legislation such as the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
- Equal Opportunity Act 2010
- Disability Standards for Education 2005
- OHS legislation and school policy around this.
- Duty of care
- school behaviour policy
- school uniform policy
- Copy right
- Victorian Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014
- provide a police check
- hold a working with children card
- VIT Code of conduct and code of ethics as legislated in Education and Training Reform Act (2006).
Is there any other legislative, administrative and organisational requirements I am missing?
